The CA iFOG mobile application serves as a comprehensive digital reference for the California Interoperability Field Operations Guide. It functions as a technical resource for emergency communications planning and radio technicians responsible for disaster response communications. The application encompasses regulatory guidelines established by the State of California, details on interoperability channels, frequency tables, standard channel nomenclature, and various supplementary reference materials.

Designed to facilitate quick and efficient access to critical public safety communications information, the CA iFOG app features a structured content index with hyperlinks that allow users to navigate directly to specific sections, tables, figures, or images. Its functionality includes options to save frequently used references as Favorites and to annotate sections with in-line notes, supporting personalized and streamlined information retrieval. Additionally, the app can be downloaded for offline use, making it a reliable resource in field situations where internet connectivity may be limited or unavailable.

The development of CA iFOG was overseen by the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) through its Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP), ensuring that the app aligns with national standards for emergency communications interoperability.
